How it began
On March 24, 2026, while on my way to visit family in northern Georgia, I decided to stop briefly at the Lake Lanier Olympic Park, located just north of Gainesville, GA. I had seen this park from a distance before and knew that it was the location for rowing events during the 1996 Olympic Games, but I didn't know much more.

A project without a schedule is a hobby ;-) . After visiting Lake Lanier Olympic Park, I decided to aim for a completion date of 7/12/26. This is one week before the 30th anniversary of the Opening Ceremony of the Games in 1996 which took place on 7/19/1996 .
